This is the original version of A Whole New Crowd. It has only gone through one round of edits so it is rough. I make no apology for this. The edited version was released as A Whole New Crowd. This is being published at readers' requests. They want to own the original version as well so here it is in all its gritty and monstrously long glory.
There is lots of sex so the reader is forewarned.

Omg, what did I just read? This book was just wow, and to think that these were just high school kids. This had me hooked and on a roller coaster ride the whole way through. I just couldn't put this book down and was dying to find out what was going to happen next. You have so much sadness, heartbreak, happiness, silliness with laughter, seriousness and so much more with this book.Taryn and Tray sure was something, let me tell you.
Taryn was bad ass and one tough fighter. She had me speechless many times, I just couldn't believe it. She could go at it with you in a heart beat, chew you up and spit you out, leaving you with nothing else to say.
That was me being nice because I said it without cursing. Look at me, so grown up.
The things she had been through were really saddening. Even though she wasn't always quite a friendly person you really feel for her, knowing what she has gone through really makes you understand, why she is the way she is. It's like she's a tough shell on the outside but a girl that's really kinda hurting on the inside.
"I had to grow up quickly; I never had time for a childhood. I had to learn to take care of myself, because I was the only one I could count on. But I survived."
Brent called from the gas station and said Brian was heading towards Rawley on the highway. Two plus two plus two equals six, babe.” “Geeze, don’t call me that.” “Hot stuff,” he said instead. I peeked through my window-blinds, but didn’t see his car. Great. Just great.
Then there's Tray who's really, just the same as her, a fighter in his own way. Their so much alike really trying to hold it all together.
Taryn grew up in foster care not knowing her parents except that they didn't want her, to now be in a new high school and adopted. For her it's what she's always wanted, a family. With Tray he's just going through life day by day without anyone around. At first I was like where are the parents? They are never around, but then as I kept reading I saw how some things were and why. Again shocking remember their only high schoolers. So now that Taryn has a family, she wants to stop doing all the bad things she's known for and be a good and better person. Of course things aren't always as easy as you would like them to be. Just because you might of left doesn't mean it just goes away, and it's amazing how things can actually be connected.
Well as you can see I really enjoyed this book a lot. And all of the other characters were also something. I can't exactly explain them all since there was so many of them in their little group and it was a bit hard to keep track of who was who at times, haha, but I will say they were just crazy silly with some of the things they would say or do, and they also really made the story. Of course some of the girls I really couldn't stand, including Mandy slightly at times, Taryn's adopted sister. I just couldn't believe her, but did start to understand her more as time went on, and I did feel bad for her a bit once in a while, but the one thing I did like was how Taryn actually did care for her since she was considered her sister and would have her back. A few of the girls didn't exactly care for Taryn and every time they threw something at her she would just give it right back to them, cutting them down in a heart beat. Again she had me rolling around in laughter, like yeah. she. told. you. haha.
Oh and I can't forget, there's also the invisibles which you'll also meet and learn all about. I really liked how Taryn was towards them, it was actually nice especially with Molly, one of her new friends.
Molly was in awe. “We just sat at the same table as Carter Sethlers. Oh. My. Goodness. Holy. Light. Sockets.”
So again this was really good. It had me going through all emotions through the whole story, you won't believe the twist and turns you come to in the end it's all crazy. I think Taryn and Tray were perfect for each other and just what they each needed. Let me just say they also had me cracking up at times, I just loved it. I don't know about everyone else but this book to me is way more than five stars, and a top read to me. I loved it. Well I can't wait to find out what's next to come with them in the next book, I'm for sure checking it out right now. It's that good, and I can't wait another minute.

The Original Crowd edition by Tijan Romance eBooks Reviews
Taryn was good at three things swimming, stealing, and sex. She just needed to survive her new school, her past, and the newest drug dealer that arrived in town..
That's what the little blurb on GoodReads says but it clearly doesn't do this story any justice. Now usually I'm all in love with Tijan's men. The strong, fierce silent type of a man, who stands by main girl but let's her handle herself. They are basically dream men, in my eyes. I've always loved a quiet bad boy. And Tray, from A Whole New Crowd, is no different. He's absolutely perfect. But what really got to me was Taryn. I'm totally in love with her, which is a new concept for me, considering I like men and all.
Taryn is much like Tijan's other heroines. Strong, fierce, slightly vulnerable but never letting it show. But Taryn was also the biggest bad ass I've ever read. We meet Taryn, about 6 months after she was adopted by this family. We quickly learn that Taryn moved around a lot and seemed to haven bee in a few different foster homes. She spent a good amount of time in the city of Pedlam where she had gone to school, have a tight group of friends who weren't always good little boys and girls. They would steal, cheat, fight and generally cause some mayhem, Taryn and her boyfriend Brian included. But when Taryn was adopted, she decided to make a clean break from that life, leaving her friends, boyfriend and the trouble behind.
It wasn't too long into her new life that Mandy, her new sister, and Tray, the king of Rawley (her new school), decided they could put her former habits to good use. They ask her to break into her old school to help them with a prank. Eventually she relents and does their favor but it opens up a whole chain reaction no one expected to come.
No matter what challenges, backstabbing, or dirty dealings come Taryn's way, she attacks right back with her sharp wit and killer instincts. She's not afraid to go for the jugular and it's a beautiful sight. She stands up for those who are walked over and protects those she loves.
Basically this story is MAGIC!
Wow! I recently read A Whole New Crowd, and I thought I'd pick up this original version. It's so different! The story is almost completely different. It's amazing to see how the book evolved during the editing process! I have to say that I like this version better (and that's high praise, since I gave AWNC 5 stars!).
I loved Geezer, and this version had so many new characters that didn't make the cut in the final version (AWNC). I thought they really enhanced the story. In this original version we meet Geezer, Honey, Bits, Cammy, the Invisibles, Molly, Larkins, Trent, Carter (aka Dylan[?] in the other version), Props... and several more! Even the jerky Gently (ironic name, lol) added to the story. We lose all these characters with the edits.
There were some scenes from AWNC that I preferred to their counterparts in TOC, but overall, I really loved TOC more. The stories were more involved, more in-depth, more rounded out (or fleshed out), and I seriously cried at 3 different scenes while reading this book. I never cried in AWNC. The feelings! Oh, wow.
Jace (my favorite) was softer in this version- not so hard, not so mean. We also found out something about Jace and Taryn that wasn't in the other book. )
The one sad thing about TOC is that poor Tray gets hardened and jaded. The epilogue didn't seem so happy to me. Yeah, they got their HEA, but Tray is meaner and... just not Tray. I liked the ending to AWNC better, and I preferred the final chapters of AWNC to the final chapters of TOC (again, the two books are completely different!) The whole plot changed.
That being said, I'm now having a serious book hangover. I can't get Jace out of my head (and I really wanted him to get Taryn), but luckily Tijan has Jace's story on her website. In conclusion, I loved this book!!! I loved both versions, they're both incredible.
Omg, what did I just read? This book was just wow, and to think that these were just high school kids. This had me hooked and on a roller coaster ride the whole way through.
